Movement Church (Hilliard, Ohio) launched in 2012 with the dream to plant churches that plant churches. By faith, they dreamed, saved, sacrificed and encouraged people to go plant again. They didn’t know where it’d be or who would lead it, but they were preparing for a movement of God.
Grace Church (Wooster, Ohio) was supporting the launch of Movement Church through the Greatest Gift Christmas Offering in 2013. By faith, the congregation gave sacrificially to get this small group of dreamers that set out to become a church that planted other churches off their feet. They didn’t know how God would use it, but they too were preparing and praying for a movement of God.
It wasn’t until 2016 that Joel and Morgan Trainer joined the Movement Team. God ignited a passion within them to begin planting a new church. By 2017, the Trainers, along with a group of families from Movement Church, moved across town to Gahanna to start Three Creeks Church. By faith, they began to meet people, encourage other churches, and look for ways to serve their local community.
During the summer of 2016, Grace Church was able to send a young group of students to Gahanna on a short mission trip to help the Trainers by doing simple service projects for their launch team and in their new neighborhood.
In September 2017, the Three Creeks Church Launch Team began meeting to pray and plan their launch in early 2018. These first months have been vital for the team, as they’ve been clarifying vision and intentionally connecting with families in Gahanna.
This December, part of our Greatest Gift Christmas Offering will go directly toward the launch of Three Creeks Church in Gahanna.
They will officially launch on Sunday, February 18th. The launch though, is not the “Finish Line” for Three Creeks. They’re asking God to DO IT AGAIN, like he has so faithfully.
Thank you, for supporting the work of church planters through your gifts to the Greatest Gift Christmas Offering. Your above and beyond giving is having significant and eternal impact locally, regionally and globally.
