The 7 Proven Practices

Grace Church focuses on 7 Proven Practices to grow our relationship with Jesus. When we apply these practices with consistency, they yield a thriving spiritual life. The practices are essential to every follower of Jesus, and each has unlimited room to expand.

Tips To Use the 7 Proven Practices
• Advance one practice at a time. When that practice is moving in your life, select another to advance.
• If there are practices not currently happening in your life, choose ONE to start with.
• If you feel stagnant in your spiritual growth, ask yourself which of the practices is lacking in your life, then write down an action you will take to embed and expand that practice.

Get Baptized (Matthew 28:19-20)

After you’ve made the decision to make Jesus the leader of your life and the forgiver of your sins, baptism is a great next step!  Follow His example and command to be baptized in water.  You’ll get to share your story of how God changed your life from the inside out and declare that you want to follow Him with your life.

Worship Together Weekly (Hebrews 10:25)

Regularly challenge yourself by sitting under sound Biblical teaching and work to apply the truth to your everyday life.  The Spirit of God uses truth to transform us to be more like Jesus.

Connect with God Daily (Matthew 6:33)

Like Jesus, we need to carve out time every day to hear from the Creator of the Universe through His Word and prayer. Daily time with God is a simple path with powerful results.  For any relationship to grow, communication is critical.  It’s not different with God!  There’s no right or wrong way to get started, and no Bible expertise is required!

Reading Plans

Live Generously (2 Corinthians 9:6-8)

When we understand the sacrifice that Jesus made for us, our only response is to sacrificially live by honoring Him with the resources He has blessed us with.  A generous life shows your commitment to what God is doing and is an awesome way to be a part of something bigger than yourself.

Give Now

Serve Others (1 Peter 4:10-11)

We are all created to serve and advance God’s Kingdom and do some good in the world.  Your life will be blessed as you bless others. (Proverbs 11:25)

Grow Together in a Group (1 Thessalonians 2:8)

Life is better together.  A group will help you find other believers who are in your corner and will challenge you to follow Jesus closer.

Share Your Story (1 Peter 3:15-16)

Tell others about what Jesus has done and is doing in your life, in a way they can understand and receive it!  Life change is worth sharing.  It could change someone’s life, and it will help you remember all Jesus has done for you.
