Before Christ
1.Describe your life before you became a Christ-follower
Example: When I was in college, my parents got divorced. I felt abandoned and angry. The last thing I wanted to do was trust God to lead my life.
*If you became a Christian at a young age, you can start with Question 2.
2. What made you start thinking Christ could make a difference in your life?
Example: I began to see that I didn’t have complete control of my life and that the anger I felt wasn’t solving any of my problems. During this time my best friend really stuck by my side, and I saw how kind and different she was. I knew it was because she was a Christian. I began to wonder if Christ could make a difference in my life too.
3.What was it that finally motivated you to trust in Christ?
Example: When I asked my best friend about God, she told me that I mattered to God and that He wanted to help me. I knew then that I needed God and that only He could take away the anger in my heart.
Meeting Christ
Describe the circumstances surrounding your decision to follow Christ. When was the moment you accepted Jesus?
Example: My friend invited me to pray with her. I asked Christ to forgive me and to be the leader of my life. I asked Him to forgive my anger and all my other sins and then to help me forgive my parents.
After Christ
How did your life begin to change after you came to Christ?
Example: It was so good to finally understand that God had forgiven me, that he would never abandon me, and that I could trust him. My life is no longer filled with anger.
Note: For those of you, who became Christians as children, compare your life now with what it might have been like if you had not come to Christ.
