Okay, let’s be honest… that message was a lot to digest. Daniel 9 is filled with big ideas, deep prophecy, and powerful reminders that God is in control of history and faithful to fulfill His promises. It shows us that the future isn’t uncertain or out of God’s hands.
But knowing how the story ends isn’t just meant to inform us; it’s meant to transform us and impact how we live today. When we trust God with the end, it changes our priorities, our decisions, and what we give our lives to.
Each day, you will be guided through a short passage of Scripture, a simple challenge, a prayer, and one intentional step of obedience. Don’t rush through this. Allow God to speak into your life, listen for His voice, and then respond in obedience. This is not just about learning something new. It’s about allowing God to shape how you live with the end in mind.
Day 1 – Surrender it All
Read: Luke 9:23-25
Then he said to them all: “Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross daily and follow me. For whoever wants to save their life will lose it, but whoever loses their life for me will save it. What good is it for someone to gain the whole world, and yet lose or forfeit their very self?
Challenge: Following Jesus isn’t a one-time decision. It’s a daily choice to surrender our lives to Him. Take time to identify one area of your life you may be holding back from God or trying to control on your own.
Pray: Ask God to open your eyes to what that might be. Ask Him to search your heart and reveal your blind spots.
Take Action: After praying, write down the one area God brings to mind. Place that note somewhere you’ll see it each day as a reminder to continually surrender it to Him.
A Next Step for Some: If you’ve never surrendered your life to Jesus and you’re ready to stop living life your way, repent, and follow Him as the forgiver of your sin and the leader of your life, we’d love to walk through that with you.
Text “Jesus” to (330) 264-9459, and someone will follow up with you about next steps.
Day 2 – Investing in What Lasts
Read: Matthew 6:19-21
“Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moths and vermin destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moths and vermin do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. 21 For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.
Challenge: Evaluate where your time, money, and energy are being invested in.
Pray: Ask God to give you wisdom on where to invest your time, money, and energy.
Take Action: Before you make a purchase, plan, or commitment today, ask yourself, “Will this matter in 5 years? Will it matter in eternity?” Maybe you are in the middle of something right now. Back out of whatever that is that’s taking up too much time or energy. Make the decision right now to not purchase something if it’s not going to make an eternal difference.
Day 3 – Led by Love, Not Fear
Read: 1 John 4:16-19
And so we know and rely on the love God has for us. God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in them. This is how love is made complete among us so that we will have confidence on the day of judgment: In this world we are like Jesus. There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love. We love because he first loved us.
Challenge: Choose to live led by love instead of fear. Because you know the ending, you do not have to be afraid of what is ahead.
Pray: Pray that God would give you peace – that you would be able to love first before you do anything.
Take Action: Identify one area in your life where fear has been shaping your decisions. Maybe it’s a lack of trust, belief, or faith in God. Write it down. Now, ask God to take care of it and trust Him with it.
Day 4 – Make Time for People
Read: Philippians 2:3-4
Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves, not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of the others.
Challenge: People matter to God. Relationships are eternal investments. Think of three people in your life (family or friends) who you need to invest in.
Pray: Pray that God would give you three names.
Take Action: Now, call or text them. Ask them to grab coffee or lunch within the next couple of weeks. Schedule an intentional conversation that will make an eternal difference.
Day 5 – Life Change is an Invitation Away
Read: Luke 14:23
Then the master told his servant, ‘Go out to the roads and country lanes and compel them to come in, so that my house will be full.
Challenge: Think of 1 person you could invite to church this Sunday for our new series: Note to Self.
Pray: Ask God to give you the name of one person to invite to church.
Take Action: Now, go and intentionally invite that person to church. Life change is an invitation away. One simple invite could change someone’s life forever. This is an eternal investment.

Day 6 – Lead Your Family
Read: Joshua 24:15
But if serving the LORD seems undesirable to you, then choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your ancestors served beyond the Euphrates, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you are living. But as for me and my household, we will serve the LORD.”
Challenge: Decide what kind of legacy you want to leave.
Pray: Ask God to help you lead your family. Pray that God would give you a vision for the legacy you want to leave.
Take Action: Take time today to sit down with your family and talk about what matters most and pray together. Conversation might be awkward if this isn’t something you do regularly. Making the investment in your family now will make an eternal significance.
Day 7 – Ask God for a Bigger Vision
Read: Ephesians 3:20
Challenge: Ask God to show you what He wants to do in and through your life.
Pray: Pray and ask God to give you a big vision for your life. Ask Him to show you what He is calling you to in order to make an eternal impact.
Take Action: Continue in prayer – asking God to give you a vision for your life that is bigger than anything you could imagine. After intentional time with Jesus, write down what you think God might be calling you to in order to make a significant eternal impact.
